My family came for the muffins and barbecue, but I only had the pudding--delicious! I hadn't had pudding in years, and this was worth it.
Great little BBQ place, with good food and friendly staff. I stopped in Sunday afternoon and was surprised to find a long line of people waiting to order. The line moved at a decent pace and the wait wasn't too long. I decided on the bbq chicken platter, with mac & cheese, spicy slaw and cornbread. The bbq chicken was really tasty, with just the right amount of spice, no additional sauce was needed. The mac & cheese and cornbread were also good, but I found the spicy slaw to be too dry and lacking flavor. Next time I'd probably opt for the potato salad. Overall, this was a great find and I'll definitely stop in when I'm back in the area.
Food was delish! Our first time ordering. Serving sizes were huge. We were given the wrong order but didn't realize it until til we were back at our motel. They called and asked regarding this but allowed us to keep the order at no charge. Food was really good and plan to go back when we're in the area.
Super busy - hard to find a parking place and a long wait. We weren't so impressed with the slices brisket actually but the pulled pork seemed much more moist. So we were mixed on the place but overall positive.
This place is still just as yummy as 3 years ago when I was here last! Love that their meats are tender and delicious but they also make amazing sides and breads. It's the perfect BBQ trifecta! We lucked out and got there right before a big rush on a Friday around noon. The line does move pretty fast but all I can say is the food is worth it! For the meats we tried the 4 meat sampler and had the sausage, ribs, pulled pork and pulled chicken. Ribs fell off the bone and all the meats were flavorful and tender. Loved them all. Now for the sides we had the following: Broccoli salad Macaroni salad Potato salad Macaroni & cheese Sweet pickles Hush puppies Pumpkin muffins Corn bread All were seriously great but my favorites were the macaroni salad and broccoli salad and they do an amazing sweet pickle! Also the pumpkin muffins are amazing! Do yourself a favor and take some home with you! Try one there and you will see why! We also got a banana pudding cup for later and it was delicious! Great stop, and I wish I lived closer!
